Market Lead

As a Market Lead, you’ll be the face of Woodland Wellness at local farmers’ markets, leading sales, engaging with customers, and educating the community about our herbal remedies and Ayurvedic products.

Location: Peachtree Road Farmers Market (2x/ month on Saturdays), Grant Park (3x/month on Sundays)

Schedule: Saturdays (7 AM - 1:30 PM) + Sundays (7:30 AM - 2 PM)

Compensation: $150 per shift + tips + performance bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and break down the Woodland Wellness booth

  • Educate and engage customers on holistic health and herbalism

  • Prepare and serve samples of our nourishing products

  • Handle transactions and ensure a smooth, welcoming experience

  • We’re looking for someone with customer service or sales experience who is comfortable engaging with customers and working independently.

    Ideal candidates have:

    • Experience in customer service, retail, or sales

    • Strong communication and organizational skills

    • A passion for wellness, herbalism, or holistic health (formal training is a plus, but not required)

    • The ability to adapt, problem-solve, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

    This role is hands-on, requires initiative and reliability, and is perfect for someone who loves educating customers and creating a welcoming experience.

  • This is a physical, hands-on role! Market Leads must be comfortable:

    • Lifting up to 50 lbs (coolers, market gear, product boxes)

    • Working outdoors in all weather conditions (we provide heaters/fans as needed)

    • Standing and engaging with customers for several hours at a time

  • Yes, for our Sunday markets, this is a year-round role. For the Saturday market, the position runs from March through December.

    If you’re looking to grow into our team or be considered for other year-round positions, this is a great entry place!

  • One Market Lead shift includes approximately 9-10 hours of your time total and is compensated at a flat $150 rate + tips + end of year performance bonus, averaging out to $20-29/hr.

    A shift includes approximately 2 hours of prep time the day before your market at home, 6.5 hours at market, then 1.5 hours of cleaning and unloading time after your market.

  • This role primarily covers the Peachtree Road Farmers Market in Buckhead and Grant Park in Atlanta, with occasional shifts at Alpharetta Farmers Market or special events.

    Reliable SUV required – Market Leads must transport market gear and store the equipment we’ll provide you (metal rack, fridge, and freezer). If unsure about space, reach out before applying.

    Consider travel time, early mornings, and fuel costs if living outside of Atlanta.

  • This role requires a commitment through December 2025 with weekend availability.

    Shifts:

    • 2 Saturdays/Month (April–November): 7:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Peachtree Road Farmers Market)

    • One Sunday per month: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Grant Park Farmers Market)

    • Occasional coverage at Alpharetta Farmers Market or special events

    Prep Time:

    • 1–2 hours on Thursday or Friday (flexible) for market setup & restocking

    This role is best for someone who can reliably commit to weekends.

  • Yes! We’re excited to share that Woodland Wellness is opening its first brick-and-mortar location at Upper West Market, Atlanta’s newest indoor market space. As we grow, we’ll be hiring Wellness Tenders for our new space, and we’d love to offer additional hours or even multiple roles to the right person.
